Most provinces and territories in Canada allow pharmacists to diagnose and treat minor ailment such as pink eye, poison ivy or sore throats – and most pay them to do it.

Four years ago, pharmacists in Ontario were not allowed to deliver the flu shot. After being allowed to do so, and being paid for it, pharmacists now deliver over 1 million flu shots each winter and the number has grown each year.
